Part of our beautifully curated Indigenous collection, this stand-out fabric depics stories of traditional women's ceremonies. Beautifully painted by Yijan artist Maureen Hudson Nampijinpa, the beautiful blended red, oranges and pinks with contrasting black and white allow for a gorgeous statement.
Maureen started painting in the mid 80`s and says of her work: "My main stories are my father`s stories of Fire Dreaming, Napa - Water Dreaming, Lightning Dreaming. And my mother`s side as well, women`s ceremonies. My skin name is Nampajimpa and on my mother and uncle`s side, Numeratumera."
The Harriet headscarves are designed as an adult sized piece and are approximately 6cm wide x 95cm long. Wanting to add wire to your Harriet for a more 'stand-out' styling option? Make sure you select 'wired' for style option. If you're wanting children's sizing, select 'Children's'.
Each and every item from Inspired By Ruth is handcrafted with love. We take great care in making our products, however, due to the handmade nature of them each piece may vary slightly in size and pattern. We aim to show you these variations via the placement of multiple items in our photos.
